I’m a digital design specialist with a PhD in Media and Communication (2014). I use social research methods to design useful digital services. I am currently working at the Department of Health and Human Services (Victoria, Australia) in the Digital Engagement and Strategy team.

Alfred Deakin Lectures 2008: Invited speaker

I was an invited speaker at the 2008 Alfred Deakin Lectures 2008, curated by Robyn Archer AO. I presented during 2 panels, ‘Innovation: a global view’ and ‘Voices of the Future’.

Banff Centre for Arts: Residency

I received the 2004 Australia Council residency to the Banff Centre for Arts. During my time there I created the net art work ‘My Fellow Australians’. This work was archived by the National Library, and included in an exhibition at the Sydney Opera House.

2006 Next Wave Festival: Associate producer

The 2006 Next Wave Festival was themed ‘Empire Games’ to coincide with the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games. Running alongside all the sporting events was a free cultural festival called Festival Melbourne 2006, and under the Artistic Directorship of Marcus Westbury, Next Wave delivered the Youth Program for this festival.

As part of the festival, I devised and fasciltated the digital art project Bitscape. I worked with youth from Morwell, Wagga Wagga and the Macedon Ranges to create audio-visual works, some of which were displayed as large-scale projections on a 90 metre high power station.

FabLab Northern Ireland: Writer

Researched and wrote short form articles and an exhibition catalogue essay for an international program of art-making, exhibitions, and training based at Fab Labs in Madrid, Limerick, Belfast and Derry, 2016.
