Gay unions may soon be official

"HOPES are rising among Victoria's gays and lesbians that they will soon win legal recognition of their relationships. The State Government is under mounting pressure from local councils, senior ALP figures, unions, the Law Institute and gay groups to establish a statewide same-sex register."
